Take a Break and Thrive!

A place like Spirit Haven is in itself healing and empowering. Just being in nature is a meditation. This is a very special place that few have access to. In the midst of ancient Big Scrub remnant rainforest, along with natural regenerated forest, bush walk and visit the ancient waterways, spot the blue yabbies and black cockatoos, listen to the rare frogs and the magnificent dawn chorus. See a shooting star…

Spirit Haven is a gift - a place for one to just relax and be. We also have plenty to see and do. So whether you’re gazing across the Wanganui Valley at the Nightcap National Park escarpment in the comfort of the hammock, or looking for crystals in the creek bed, you’ll have a restful adventure that is set at a pace and level that is designed for you.

THINGS TO CONSIDER:

Our rainforest cabin is quite rustic! We have a composting loo (which is no flush and a big hole underneath you), rainwater tank & solar power so please only come if this works for you!

Our WIFI is sporadic and not always happening.

There are different sleeping options in our little cabin.

1)You can sleep in the cabin downstairs in an open space while support worker sleeps upstairs in the loft.

2) You could sleep in a tent and camp in the glade.

3) You can sleep in the converted barn which is a big open room with outdoor toilet.

We also have lots of wildlife - and while the Pademelons are cute, we have other things too like spiders, march flies, snakes and leaches…And while we will do everything to make you comfortable, please only come if you are OK with these things around the property.

Also please note this is an alcohol and tobacco smoke free home…although we support those who work with prescription medical marijuana & CBD.

We are currently inaccessible for wheelchairs but looking to create accessibility in the near future.
